HIV

¡Bienvenidos!

HIV o VIH en Espa?ol, is one of the leading health problems facing the nation according to the Latino population in the US. In the year 2000 40% of Latinos belived that HIV was the number one health problem in the US. (1)

But what is HIV? How do you get it? How can you protect yourself from getting it? And where can you go to get help if you think you or someone you know might have it? These are some of the questions I will try to answer for you.

?Hola! Soy Ben. I am currently a student at Arizona State University and enrolled in a class called Latino Health in America. As a end of the year project, I have developed this webpage to help answer some questions that you as a young adult might have about this deadly disease. If you have any questions or comments please let me know at Benjamin.Pate@asu.edu
