Public The Public ASU iTunes U environment provides access to rich media content from ASU to anyone in the world. Typical podcast material posted into the Public space includes special events, guest lectures, educational and informational documentary programs, open course ware materials and more.
Contributions of one or two selected recordings into the Public ASU iTunes U site are likely best added to an existing ASU Channel. There are a wide variety of categories and channels already available in the Public ASU iTunes U site, each with a strong number of dedicated viewers. Contributing to an existing channel is a good way to gain exposure to a few pieces of select media.

In addition, successful Search and Discovery of podcast materials within the Apple iTunes Music Store is also significantly increased through the application of detailed 'metadata' tagging as well. Attention to metadata standards of podcast content in the Public ASU iTunes U site is critical.
