SYMPTOMS OF LIVER CANCER

Even though early liver cancer does not usually cause symptoms, people with cancer in later, larger stages may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Pain in upper right abdomen (stomach)
  • Lump/feeling of heaviness in the upper abdomen (stomach)
  • Swollen abdomen (bloating)
  • Loss of appetite (feelings of fullness)
  • Weight loss
  • Weakness or fatigue
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Yellow skin and eyes, pale stools (bodily solid waste), dark urine from jaundice (occurs when liver is not working properly or when a bile duct is blocked)
  • Fever

If you have any of these symptoms, you should tell your doctor so that problems can be diagnosed and treated as early as possible.
