Danforth Chapel is a multi-use facility on the Tempe campus. The chapel is open for students, staff, and public use Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Recurring meetings are not allowed Monday through Friday, due to the open use of the chapel for all individuals and groups. Reservations are accepted for weekend use only. There is a fee required for reserving the Danforth Chapel.

Scheduled Use Priority

Reserved use priority is listed as follows:

  1. university departments
  2. recognized university groups
  3. private functions (e.g., weddings) for university community members

  4. and

  5. alumni, former faculty and staff, non-university groups.

  1. call 480/965–6547 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
  2. obtain a list of use guidelines and chapel furnishings from the chapel secretary

  3. and

  4. pay the use fee, if appropriate, as indicated:
    1. use by a member of the university community—$50.00
    2. use by a non-university person—$150.00
      Note: University departments and recognized university groups do not pay a fee.
To reserve use of the Danforth Chapel:
  1. Visit for information, photos, and usage guidelines of the Danforth Chapel
  2. Call 480/965-6547 (Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, to hold a date on the calendar and receive detailed information about reservation fees and requirements
  3. Reservation fees and requirements are standard for all reserving individuals, groups, and departments.
