SSM 1001–02: Promotion and Sale of Items in Residence Halls |
To prevent the promotion or sale of products or services in residence halls and on-campus housing facilities
University Housing
Outside agencies and individuals may not sell goods or services in residence halls and on-campus housing facilities. Campus organizations may not sponsor raffles, auctions, or other fund-raising projects in residence halls.
Individuals selling goods just outside of a hall must have permission from the director of University Housing or designee.
The university does not endorse and is not responsible for any item an individual purchases from another individual. A student who is dissatisfied with an item purchased from another individual has no recourse to the university.
Individuals who do not comply with this policy will be asked to leave and may be arrested for trespassing.
For related information, see SSM 802–02, “Sales and Promotion (on Campus).”
