PDP 101–02: Emergency Call Boxes |
To provide instructions on how to locate and operate an emergency call box
ASU Police Department
Emergency call boxes on the Polytechnic, Tempe, and West campuses provide a direct and immediate communication with the ASU Police Department Communications Center. Call boxes at the Downtown Phoenix campus will connect the caller to the Phoenix Police Department Communication Center. Call boxes at the SkySong campus will connect the caller with the Scottsdale Police Department. The Phoenix and Scottsdale Police Departments provide primary policing to the Downtown and SkySong campuses respectively.
Emergency call boxes are identified with a bright blue light above the phone. Call boxes are located in parking structures (multiple locations on each level) and high traffic areas throughout each campus.
Nonemergency requests can also be made to the ASU Police Department by dialing 480/965–3456. If a call to this number is made from the Downtown Phoenix campus, the SkySong campus, or the ASU Research Park, the caller will be connected to the appropriate department by the ASU Police Communication Center.
