While many ASU students leave campus for the summer, other groups of young learners take advantage of the university’s learning environment in June and July. The campus plays host to a variety of summer camps and outreach clinics in an effort to let the community take advantage of the many tools available at the university.
In this photo, Angela Cheadle of Gilbert High School works intently on attaching a video camera housing to her team’s remote-operated vehicle during the WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) work period. The program brought teams of young women for a weeklong stay on the Tempe campus to learn about robotics, as well as campus life and the fields of engineering and construction.
