11.  CERT & Hacker Boards

The Computer Emergency Response Team (or CERT) is the organization that grew from the computer emergency response team formed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in November 1988.  The CERT website at http://www.cert.org contains a lot of valuable information on system security for Unix system administrators.  CERT also has a mailing list available that administrators can subscribe to receive the latest security-related information (usually software and system vulnerabilities in advisories, summaries, and vendor-initiated bulletins).  More information on the CERT mailing list can be obtained at http://www.cert.org/contact_cert/certmaillist.html.
