LONDON
(DECEMEBER 27 – 28, DECEMEBER 31 – JANUARY 4, JANUARY
9 – 15)
The capital of the United Kingdom, London is located in the
southeast of England on the River Thames. For centuries, London
has been a place filled with vibrant culture and life. Students
will visit the British Museum, Tate Britain, the National Gallery,
Hampton Court Palace, and the Tower of London. Other highlights
include a traditional afternoon tea and a semiformal dinner.
OXFORD (DECEMBER 29 – 30)
Home to one of the world’s oldest academic institutions,
Oxford University, the city of Oxford has served as an international
scholarly hub for over nine centuries. Students will visit the
Pitt River Museum, Christ Church Gallery, and other sites.
GLASGOW and EDINBURGH (JANUARY 5 - 8)
From shipbuilding giant to the European City of Culture, Glasgow
is a city of universities, world class architecture and arts.
Students will visit the Glasgow School of Art, the Hunterian
Art Gallery and Museum and the state-of-the-art Glasgow Museums
Resource Center. Edinburgh, capital of Scotland and gentle opposite
to its grittier neighbor, offers the students the opportunity
to tour the Golden Mile, Edinburgh Castle and the National Museums
of Scotland, and probably to see a bagpiper or two giving a
sidewalk concert.

Eligibility: |
This
program is designed for all students in good standing at the
University. While no minimum grade-point average is stipulated,
applicants must present a transcript demonstrating that they
are serious students who will make the most of this opportunity.
The first deadline for applications including the $150.00 non-refundable
deposit is September 30, 2005. However, applications will
be accepted until November 10, 2005 or until the program is
full. Non-ASU students are welcome and encouraged to attend
but will need to apply to the university as non-degree seeking
students for Winter Session at the ASU Main Campus via the internet
before November 10, 2005.

Accommodations: |
Students
will be housed in double occupancy hotel rooms. |
Cost: |
The
cost of $2,525 (subject to possible change) includes program
fees, housing, some excursions, most breakfasts, and local travel.
Not included: Tuition and fees (undergraduate: $687; graduate:
$870: for 3 credit hours), optional excursions, airfare, passports,
additional meals, books, health insurance, and personal expenses.
