Location: |
LYON
With a population of over a million, Lyon is the second largest
city in France after Paris. Founded in 43 B.C., the city
is very rich in history and architecture, and famous for its
culinary traditions. On top of its Roman theaters and its famous
Renaissance district, Lyon is the home of the second largest
French university and the second largest art museum in France
after the Louvre. Centrally located in the heart of Europe,
Lyon is minutes away from
the great wine regions of Beaujolais, Burgundy and Côtes
du Rhône, and just a few hours from Paris, the French
Riviera, Switzerland and the French Alps.

Eligibility: |
Applicants must be enthusiastic and motivated students, able to adapt to a French-speaking environment and serious about immersing themselves in French language and culture. One semester of college French required. Applications with a $275 non-refundable deposit are due on or before February 5, 2007.

Living
Accommodations: |
Students will be lodged in single rooms in a university residence located in the city next to
public transportation. Accommodations do not include meals but all residences provide
cooking facilities. There are also many eating possibilities available near the residence and
the university.

Cost: |
The cost of $1,995 (subject to change) includes: housing, rental and third-party insurance, bus/metro pass, mandatory field trips, group dinners, textbooks, and ISIC card. Not included: ASU tuition and fees, transportation to and from Lyon, medical insurance (required), optional excursions, meals and other personal expenses.
