GPSA'S RESPONSE TO TODAY'S INCIDENT
The Graduate and Professional Student Association at Arizona State University is deeply saddened by the news today of the loss of a fellow ASU graduate student. The thoughts and prayers of the entire ASU graduate student population are with his family and friends through this very difficult time.
We encourage students and friends who are troubled by this incident to seek counseling services provided by the University. You may go to the counseling center on campus to speak with a professional; they are located in the Student Services Building room 334. You may also contact the center by telephone at 480-965-6146 or you may contact the ASU 24-hour crisis counseling line (EMPACT) at 480-921-1006.
STUDENT ELECTIONS TO TAKE PLACE SEPTEMBER 30th
There will be a special student election to take place on Wednesday, September 30th 2009. This election is to amend the ASASU constitution to allow GPSA to represent graduate students on all ASU campuses.
GPSA ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2009-2010 GRADUATE TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) is pleased to announce the 2009-2010 Graduate Teaching Excellence Award Program. This program recognizes excellence in teaching by graduate students on all ASU campuses.
GPSA TO DISTRIBUTE MORE THAN $400,000 TO GRADUATE STUDENTS in 2009-2010.
The Graduate and Professional Student Association has announced the launch of its 2009-2010 research grant, travel grant, and professional development grant competitions. In addition to these programs, GPSA also distributes funds to Graduate Student Organizations totaling an excess of $400,000 to be distributed directly to graduate students this academic year.
