Dedicated to education and empowerment, the ASU Commission on the Status of Women and the ASU Staff Council are pleased to announce the schedule for the seventh annual ASU CSW/SC Professional Development Conference 2014.  This year’s conference is scheduled to take place on October 1st at the Downtown and West Campuses, and on October 2nd at the Tempe and Polytechnic Campuses.  The conference will run from 8:30AM-3:30PM on both days.   The goal of the CSW/SC Professional Development Conference is to provide readily-accessible information, resources, and strategies to help individuals succeed in their current position and in their long term career.  Last year, nearly 900 people participated in the event and this year promises to be even bigger with over 50 workshop sessions and events.

Conference Information
Each campus will offer an exciting variety of workshop sessions and special lunch time events, covering topics related to career development, workplace skills, leadership training, supervisory training, financial planning, family, work/life balance, among many others.

This year for the first time, the conference will feature webcasts of select conference sessions, allowing individuals to attend the conference remotely from their computer.

The conference is open to all ASU faculty, staff and students – and attendees may attend programs at any of the four campuses.

Most importantly, the conference is completely free of charge to all attendees.

Conference attendees can stay for the whole day – or just attend a single session.  Save the date for this exciting event and make accommodations with your unit to attend.  Per SPP 601, supervisors and employees are encouraged to work together to identify reasonable work modifications to allow the employee to attend conference workshops, without negatively impacting service.

Registration Information

Registration for the conference is required. Registration for the conference opens on August 11th and you are encouraged to register early to reserve your seat. For more information on conference registration and links to campus schedules and workshops, visit Registration.
