Dedicated to education and empowerment, the ASU Commission on the Status of Women is currently planning the fifth annual CSW/SC Professional Development Conference, co-sponsored by the ASU Staff Council. The goal of the CSW/SC Professional Development Conference is to provide readily-accessible information, resources, and strategies to help individuals succeed in their current position and in their long term career. Last year, over 800 people participated in the event and this year promises to be even bigger with over 45 workshop sessions and events.
This 2012 CSW/SC Professional Development Conference is scheduled to take place on October 4th from 8:30AM-3:30PM at all four campuses. Each campus will offer an exciting variety of one hour workshop sessions and special lunch time events including networking luncheons and resource fairs. We have some exciting new additions to this year's conference including more career development sessions, more leadership development sessions, more supervisory training sessions, special two hour workshop sessions, and more seat availability at Tempe.
The conference is open to all ASU faculty, staff and students -- all men and women. Most importantly, the conference is completely free of charge to anyone who would like to attend. Conference attendees can stay for the whole day – or just attend a single session. So save the date for this exciting event and make accommodations with your unit to attend. (Per SPP 601, supervisors and employees are encouraged to work together to identify reasonable work modifications to allow the employee to attend conference workshops, without negatively impacting service.)
It promises to be a fantastic event with something for everyone!
Registration for the CSW/SC Professional Develoment Conference is required.
Registration will open for the conference on August 13th. Seating is limited and tends to fill quickly. You are encouraged to register early.
f you have any questions on the CSW/SC Conference, please contact Karen Engler, CSW/FWA Coordinator Sr.
