Type I Diabetes

The symptoms come on suddenly and very severely:

  • being very thirsty
  • dry mouth
  • the need to urinate often
  • weight loss (even though you may eat a lot and be hungry)
  • feeling weak and tired
  • blurry vision

Type II Diabetes

These symptoms are not noticed very easily and they are experienced over a gradual period of time:

  • blurry vision
  • cuts or sores that are slow to heal
  • itchy skin, yeast infections (i.e. dry and itchy feet)
  • being very thirsty
  • dry mouth
  • need to urinate often
  • leg pain
