Getting on medication if you have high blood pressure is crucial. If you don’t know that you have it, how can you get treated? ¿Cómo va a saber?

In mild cases of high blood pressure, lifestyle changes may be enough to get your levels back to normal. Lifestyle changes can include drinking less alcohol, losing weight, and eating less salt.

For more severe cases of high blood pressure, doctors often prescribe medication. Often times, a combination of medicine and lifestyle changes will result in successful control of your high blood pressure (2).

Medication will only go so far. Changing habits that can be bad to your health will not only help prevent high blood pressure, but they will improve your overall health, su salud. This is not to say that it will be easy. It takes a lot of effort to make major changes to routines and habits. However, these changes are worth improving your quality of life. Vale la pena.
