A Peace and Condolence Gathering for Mumbai Terror Attack Victims

They always say the occurence of some event only can bring about a change. This time it was Terror Strikes at the commercial capital of India - Mumbai, which has charged up the people of India especially the youth who have had enough and have realized the mistakes of others is costing lives of the innocent. We ardently hope that all the people and their families are safe and well protected back home.
These attacks were intended to imbibe a feeling of insecurity in the minds of common man but has instead awakened them of their responsibilities of playing an active role in politics from their side to make up for a successful and efficient democratic system.
More than 200 people were killed in this tragic event and many proud sons of India sacrificed their lives for us and for our security. We salute them all !!

Independence Day Celebrations @ ASU
There are some events which are best celebrated when celebrated in a group.Independence Day at ASU was one of them which was celebrated with the same enthusiasm and patriotic fervor as in India.
It was morning 8 AM when 150+ people congregated at the Secret Garden to celebrate this special occasion.
The crowd sang the National Anthem in unison which is a very special feeling all together.
They also experienced some melodious singing coupled with soothing background scores played on the keyboard.
Their tastebuds were tickled with some mouth watering ladoo's and Samosas.

We are looking forward to see you for the upcoming events

The Indian Students Association is a
non-profit organization for all the students from India. Our
objectives are to promote service and leadership opportunities.
We know how tough it is to travel to a totally new country,
thousands of miles away from home and settle down into a
students life there. We aim to help new students with the
educational and social issues that they may face at ASU and be
the Indian link for them. Student-student and student-community
interactions are also highly encouraged.
