GSEA is an officially-sanctioned student organization established in 1991 for the support, interaction, and professional development of the English Graduate Student community at Arizona State University. |

| Why become a member of GSEA? - Professional development workshops, colloquia (Submission template here) and informal lecture events.
- Involvement with graduate literature and linguistic conferences of national scope.
- Community-outreach opportunities such as reading and writing circles.
- Involvement in the recruiting process for new faculty.
- A chance to meet and network with fellow MA, MFA and PhD students in Literature, Creative Writing, Linguistics/TESL and Rhetoric/Composition.
- Involvement in political and social issues which affect academic life.
- Social activities such as holiday parties, happy-hour mixers, picnics, etc.
- Access to Department and Campus funds, including student travel grants.

How Do I Contact GSEA?
- GSEA has a mailbox in the Writing Programs office on the 3rd floor of the Language and Literature (LL) Building.
- A list of GSEA officers and contact info is posted in the 3rd floor graduate lounge and this website.
