LINKS FOR WRITERS

• Beaver Tail Journal.  The Beaver Tail Journal is a creative writing journal for Native American writers.  The Beaver Tail Journal began as an idea in 1992, to create a publication mainly to promote and showcase creative writings by Native American writers.
  
• Native American Journalists Association.  This group's mission is to serve and empower "Native communicators through programs and activities designed to enrich journalism and promote Native cultures.  NAJA recognizes Native Americans as distinct peoples based on tradition, culture and protection of the earth.   In this spirit, NAJA educates and unifies its membership through programs that promote diversity, and defends challenges to free press, speech, and expression on Native lands."
  
• UNITY: Journalists of Color.  This group "is a strategic alliance of journalists of color acting as a force for positive change to advance their presence, growth and leadership in the fast-changing global news industry.  Members of the charitable association include the Asian American Journalists Association, National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and Native American Journalists Association."
  
  

• Native Americans--Internet Resources.  A comprehensive links site of interest to and about Native Americans.  Includes links to information on Bibliographies, Directories, Historical Documents & Online E-Texts, Author Pages, Study & Teaching, History, General Sites, and Periodicals.
  
• Digital Librarian: Native American Resources.  This is a truly exhaustive site on everything Native American on the Internet.  The entries are alphabetical, but you can use your browser to search for key words
  
• Native Web.  Resources for Indigenous Cultures around the world. 
  
• Native American Websites.  A comprehensive web site of links to General, Language, Environment, Genealogy, Anthropology & Archaeology, Art, Film, Museums, Literature, Music, Online Books, History, Technology, Health & Social Issues, Education, Conferences, Politics, Mailing Lists, Tribes, Miscellaneous, Reader's Contributions, News, and Comments & Stuff.
  

• Native American organizations on campus.  This is a linked list of groups and organizations of interest to Native Americans on the ASU campus. 
  
• Native American Genealogy.  This bibliography lists reference material dealing with Native American genealogy.  These resources include material found in the Labriola National American Indian Data Center in the University Libraries, websites, and other research facilities.
  
• Native American Border Studies.  This project focuses its efforts on the unique environmental issues individual tribes identify for themselves as a result of geographical proximity to the US/Mexico border.
