General Meeting Notes

Attendees: S. Mitchell Harris, Gregory Cleveland, Jeffrey Wilson, Bernice Posey, Chantel Key, W. Jeanne Miller, Debbie Tibbs-Collins, Miranda Carlton-Carew, Debi Relf, Robin Oglesby-Harris

The meeting began with IP Harris welcoming the attendees to the meeting.  There was then a discussion regarding interim leadership of BC.

IP Harris offered to continue to serve in a leadership capacity with the goal of facilitating the re-establishment of BC as an integral partner at ASU.  All in attendance were in agreement that IP Harris should continue to serve in this leadership position until a more formal selection process can be developed.

There are 3 things that will become the focus for BC members at this time:

At this time, we will convene 2 kinds of meetings.  The first meeting will be called a General Meeting.  The General Meeting will take place on a monthly basis in a central location on the Tempe campus.  It is important to note that BC will explore all opportunities to ensure that employees on all ASU campuses will be able to participate.  The purpose of the General Meeting will be to know one another, make decisions and share information.  The second meeting will be called a Study Session.  The study sessions will be scheduled as needed.  The purpose of the study session is to review material and develop a recommendation to be presented at a General Meeting in order for a decision to be made.

B. Posey and J. Miller agreed to forward BC By-laws history documents to IP Harris.  J. Miller provided a copy of committee assignments from BC history.

There were no Old Items on the agenda
