Black Faculty, Staff and Student Caucus

 

The next General Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 03 from noon to 1pm in room 213 (Santa Cruz) in the Memorial Union.

 

Preamble (original charter)

The purpose of the black faculty, staff and student caucus will be to provide a forum for discussion and subsequent action on issues and concerns to black faculty, staff and students at Arizona State University:  To promote a university climate conducive to group growth and professional and leadership development; to develop strategies to insure that the university experience is relevant to these groups; to study, evaluate and interpret the effects of institutional policy on members of the caucus; to develop means for input into the university policy-making process; the establish systems of consultation.

Advisement and academic support to the members.

 

 

Strategic Plan Summary

The Black Caucus is dedicated to the effort to provide the best possible education to all Arizona State University students.  The Black Caucus is committed to supporting all efforts to improve and maintain an outstanding education, research, employment and overall community inclusive environment for all students.  To that end, the Black Caucus will embark on a journey to become active partners in identifying, addressing and resolving issues of participation for African and African American students, faculty, staff and community stakeholders.
