EHS 102 Table

The department:

1. ensures that entry, standby, and backup employees are properly trained and authorized for their designated functions

   and

2. prior to performing any work in a confined space, performs an evaluation of the space to determine whether a permit is required.

Environmental Health & Safety provides assistance with technical and monitoring aspects of the confined spaces entry standard.

Employees conduct confined space operations in accordance with the Arizona State University Confined Space Entry Plan, including the Pre-Entry Checklist and the Confined Space Entry Permit procedures.
