2007 Season Begins

ASU begin the '07 season with 3 home games, going 2-1, against teams ranked above them in the polls.

BYU vs. ASU - L 20 - 5
The #3 ranked Cougars dominated this game by controlling face-offs and ground balls. The Devils took 32 shots vs. the Cougars 55. Tyler Westfall led the Sun Devils with 3 goals. Photos | Game Stats





Utah vs. ASU - W 14-13
The Sun Devils beat the visiting #13 Utah Utes (14-13) with 4 goals and 4 assist from Sophomore attackman Tyler Westfall. Senior Midfielder Austin Gray added 2 goals and 2 assists and freshman attack Anthony Laflam had 2 goals and 1 assist.. The Devils spread it around with nine players having at least one goal. Chapman vs. ASU - W 11 - 10
Tyler Westfall (pictured) led ASU again with a 4 goal performance in the 11-10 victory over 15th ranked Chapman. After 3 games Tyler sits near the top of the WCLL with 5.00 PPG. Freshman Eric Nelson (1G, 4A) and Ryan Westfall (3G, 1A) were also big in the Devils win. Ben Vosika won 16 of 20 face-offs and Nick Johnson scooped up 11 ground balls. Photos | Game stats



The Sun Devils go on their first road trip of '07

On March 3rd, Arizona State will travel to San Diego for their first road trip of the 2007 season. The University of California San Diego (#18) and San Diego State University are both divisional games. With the limited number of division games played the Sun Devils must win these game in order to have a chance at the playoffs. Check the website for field and directions in San Diego.
