DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Examines and evaluates paper applications and supporting documentation from non-resident students to determine eligibility for residency status for tuition purposes according to Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) and institutional guidelines. Reviews documentation paperwork , conducts in-person and/or telephone interviews to gather relevant information, and verifies application information using telephone, computer and/or in-person communication and research. Enters data on computer to update student's residency classification. Briefs students on appeal procedures in person and by telephone. Interprets ABOR guidelines and state laws, and institutional policies regarding residency classification process and provides information to students, families, and other university staff using in-person, telephone and/or computer (e-mail) communication. Drafts correspondence, prepares requested reports, and assists in composing or updating forms and informational literature using word processing computer software, Acts as back-up supervisor in supervisor's absence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; OR, Four years of student affairs or business administration experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated knowledge of state law and ABOR policy on residency for tuition purposes, experience and use of ASU's Student Information System, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Access computer programs. Experience explaining policies and procedures to customers.

Salary is dependent upon experience within the salary range listed of $24,265-$25,000.
