Why do we need a master plan?

For physical planning to be successful, it must develop a consensus on sound principles while balancing the visionary with the realistic. The campus master plan allows ASU to chart its growth so that every dollar spent improving the physical campus supports the mission. It also is the basis for daily decisions that follow an optimistic and hopeful longterm vision. More pragmatically, the master plan will increase enrollment yield, raise aspirations, and contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of the university.
