1919 Born in Clayton, Missouri
1940-41 Member of the Varsity Crew at Harvard
1941 B.A. from Harvard College
1941 Enlisted as a Private in the U.S. Army Air Corps
1942 Commissioned as an officer and served as an operations and communications officer in all theatres of operation during World War II
1944 Married Julia (Judy) Hatch in Springfield, Illinois
1945 Judy Goddard moved to Arizona after her doctor suggested a dry climate was necessary to relieve her rheumatoid arthritis
1946 Discharged from Air Corps as a Major; left Guam and reunited with wife in Tucson; joined Air Force Reserves where he rose to rank of Colonel
1949 L.L.B. from University of Arizona, elected president of the Student Bar Association, admitted to the bar of Arizona.
1949 Opened law practice in Tucson
1951 President and charter member of the Tucson Festival Society
1958-59 Co-Chairman, Tucson Civic and Convention Study Committee; Campaign Chair, Tucson United Fund.
1959 Chairman, Subcommittee on Fort Grant, Citizens Committee on Correctional Services
