The New ASU Story:
Community, Collaboration and Partnership

From 1947 to 1953, ASC news services consisted of a representative from the Associated Press and a publicity director. Dr. Joe Spring developed the News Bureau, and served as director from 1954 until his retirement in 1983. Ann Bergin modernized the staff and served as director when "Insight " was launched in July 1984. In 1999, the News Bureau's name was changed to Media Relations and Public Information.
