New User Requests

ASU's Data Warehouse, which is accessible through the MyReports interface, contains a variety of information generated from several ASU administrative systems (such as PeopleSoft and Advantage). Each warehouse requires its own request form. Depending on your job duties and responsibilities, you may need to submit several request forms.

ASU Data Policies

To be allowed to use ASU's computing systems the specified applicant must agree to abide by applicable Federal Law, State Law, and University Policies. These three links take you to ASU's data policies.

Data Access Policy

Student Privacy: Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
University policy regarding the management of student records is based on this federal legislation. The penalty for inappropriate disclosure is the withdrawal of federal funding of essentially all types. The staff in the University Registrar's Office is available to provide guidance for any situation.

Users are strongly encouraged to refresh their knowledge of FERPA by taking the online training course available through MyASUCourses (BlackBoard).

  • Go to MyASUCourses (https://myasucourses.asu.edu)
  • Click on the Courses tab.
  • Search for FERPA and click “go”
  • Find the FERPA refresher course in the list. Click on the double down arrow button, and then on the “enroll” link. Then click “ok” and “submit.”Find the FERPA refresher course in the list. There will be an "enroll" button to the far right of the course title and click on it. Then click ok and submit.
