Let's take care of each other, Sun Devils
Advancing the well-being of the ASU community is a full team effort. ASU’s Community of Care recognizes that our actions impact the lives and health of others.
As you are undoubtedly aware, the COVID-19 omicron variant is spreading rapidly throughout the country and the world.
That’s why we have reinstated the daily health check requirement at ASU. The daily health check is an essential tool that allows you to do a quick self-check each morning.
If you are not feeling well, don’t come to campus.
Set it so you don’t forget it
Remembering to submit your daily health check might be easier if you set a reminder. ASU can prompt you with a push notification or email – all you have to do is set it up and tell us what modality you prefer. We’ll take it from there.
We’ve got answers
We understand that submitting a daily health check is a new process for everyone, and we also appreciate that you might have questions. Check our FAQs regularly for common questions from fellow Sun Devils.
Testing will continue to be available at no charge to all students, faculty, staff and their family members through Devils’ Drop-off.
Telehealth services allow Sun Devils to connect virtually with an ASU Health Services healthcare provider. Make an appointment if you are feeling symptomatic, if you need counseling or to attend follow-up appointments.
Students can schedule telehealth appointments by logging in to My Health Portal.
Employees seeking a telehealth appointment affiliated with their insurance carrier should visit the Find a Provider tab through the Employee Assistance office.
Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 can include:
- Shortness of breath
- Muscle aches
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Nasal congestion or rhinorrhea
- Skin rashes
Please visit the CDC website for more information about COVID-19 signs and symptoms.
COVID-19 Response Info
Exposure Management can help ASU understand if you have crossed paths with someone (while on campus only) that has been diagnosed with COVID-19. By giving your consent, you permit ASU to send you a discreet notification alerting you of any potential exposure.
Students should contact ASU Health Services at 480-965-3349 for more information and assistance.
Employees should contact their supervisor, who will work with the Employee Wellness Exposure Management team to provide information and assistance.
Students and employees are required to participate in the daily health check. They may do so via the ASU Mobile App, or by visiting healthcheck.asu.edu.

The CDC generally recommends cloth face coverings as a standard mitigation measure for COVID-19. Both surgical masks and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health-approved N95 masks are recommended for anyone in healthcare settings.
When the pandemic began, N95s were limited and prioritized for health care workers but now are more widely commercially available. If any university employee would like additional respiratory protection due to personal circumstances, ASU will provide one N95 to you at no charge through ASU Employee Health. N95s also are available for purchase on campus in personal protective equipment vending machines or at Sun Devil Bookstores.
Please email ASU Employee Health for additional N95 details.
If you are not required to use an N95 or other respirator for your job and would like to request an N95 to be worn please follow these steps:
