Here you are in your French class getting ready to learn French. It may seem daunting, but don't worry it can seem simple if you follow some simple advice.

* Take it one day at a time. Do a little each day because trying to cram for a foreign language test is impossible. For example, look through your flash cards with your morning coffee.

* Now your lab is separate from class. Remember that you can't always do the lab at home. Most of the time it will be in one of the Labs in the basement of the Language and Litteratures building (on the South side of the building, i.e. to the right when going down the stairs). You can't very well watch a video that's in the lab at home, it has to be in the audio lab.

* When doing work in the lab NEVER give the work to the Assistant. The Lab Assistants are only there to help you with the facilities , problems with the computers, or push the play button on the VCR so you can watch the video or movie. If you have any questions, please ask your professor.

* Take this QUIZ to see if a hybrid class is for you. Not everyone really knows what goes on in a hybrid class. Make sure you know how to prepare as there is more for which you are responsible.

* Always bring your materials. You can't really learn anything if you're not prepared. Remember to bring your book, cahier and all homework or worksheets that your teacher has given you to do.
