Academic withdrawal may affect student employment eligibility based on:

  1. the employment status (i.e., Federal Work-Study or hourly) of the student

    and

  2. the type of withdrawal (i.e., complete or partial).

Hourly Students

Hourly students withdrawing from the university may continue working for two weeks.


Federal Work-Study Students

Funding for Federal Work-Study positions is discontinued immediately when a student withdraws from school. The department may choose to extend the student’s employment for two weeks as an hourly employee.
