Note: If a design build project, references to architect/engineer (A/E) are to design builder.

All project communications to or from the university shall be directed through the Office of the University Architect (OUA) or the assigned Capital Programs Management Group project manager during the entire design phase of the project. This requirement includes input from the university’s user groups, as well as university entities (e.g., Facilities Management, Purchasing and Business Services, ASU Public Art and Design Review Council, etc.).

The outside A/E shall designate an individual of the firm as their spokesperson to whom all university correspondence will be sent.

It is essential that the lines of communication be adhered to for the purpose of maintaining the contractual responsibilities of all parties in an orderly and professional manner.
