Policy

[horizontal rule]

Neither the instructor who prepares and grades a comprehensive examination for undergraduate advanced placement and credit nor the department chair or division director will receive payment for such services. The conduct of comprehensive examinations for advanced placement is thus equated with the services of faculty members in preparing and grading other examinations, such as proficiency examinations.

Department chairs and division directors will exercise care in the assignment of comprehensive examinations so no faculty member is unduly encumbered with an excessive and burdensome number.
