A Council of Deans may be established by the provost of the university to advise on all matters relating to the operation of the academic affairs of the university.
The council is advisory to the vice provost for Graduate Education to develop and formulate policies, recommend graduate programs and administrative procedures, and set policies for graduate admissions. The council is appointed by and responsible to the vice provost for Graduate Education and includes one elected academic senator. (Two-year terms.)
The council is advisory to the provost of the university on development of policy and procedural matters related to the academic areas. It enhances communication to and from the colleges and various support units regarding review of policies, programs, and issues. The council is appointed by and responsible to the provost of the university.
The president may establish and disestablish advisory committees as needed.
