Customized Workplace Learning

The School of Extended Education specializes in making learning available any time and anywhere. We offer distance learning through Web and televised courses as well as on-site at locations all over the valley.

We design and deliver customized solutions to meet the professional development needs of business. We provide comprehensive and innovative customized professional development solutions. Program content, length and location are flexible based on your needs and priorities required to meet your program goals. One highlight of our program: we will bring the courses directly to your location. Your staff can take advantage of these courses and not have to spend time traveling.

The School of Extended Education can offer your employees certificate programs or individual courses based on your needs and the program requirements; several course and delivery formats are possible.

The Supervisory and Management Skills Certificate provides skill competency-based customizable learning that is designed to develop the qualities of first-time and experienced supervisors and managers. The certificate contains, but is not limited to, topic areas covering: interviewing and hiring, principles and practices of supervision/management, employee motivation, retention strategies for a multigenerational workforce, coaching for improved performance, communication skills, delegation skills, influence strategies, organizing your time, your space, and priorities, personal accountability, organizational change, effective conflict management, problem-solving techniques, and cultural diversity in the workplace.

The American English and Culture Program (ACEP) offers on-site English language training. This includes courses in general English skill development (speaking/listening comprehension/reading/writing), English for Specific Purposes (business English, legal or medical English, English for engineering, etc.), and one-to-one tutoring. AECP can design courses of any length and content for organizations seeking to improve their employees' English proficiency.
