This library and distribution center serves as a centralized source for individuals, schools and communities throughout Arizona to support, enhance and initiate prevention efforts. Building Great Communities

Building Great Communities (BGC), founded in 1999, is based on outcomes from roundtable discussions from ASU’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy’s Report, “What Matters in Metropolitan Phoenix.” The discussions created an energy and determination to go beyond simply talking about our community challenges. BGC was founded to promote university-community alliances in order to address complex issues such as the economy, the environment, social spending, communication, and quality of life.

The Downtown Phoenix Partnership, Inc. is a nonprofit organization funded by an assessment on property owners within of Copper Square. The Partnership provides enhanced services to the Copper Square core area. Joint Urban Design Studio (JUDS)

The JUDS is the Joint Urban Design Program's physical location in the Mercado. It is a place where facilitated discussions between community, civic, and private sector interests can be held. This university-wide appointment is administered by University College and located at the Mercado. The senior faculty member holding this position is responsible for supporting community-oriented programs and scholarships, which put faculty skills and talents in service of community. The Office of Youth Preparation has been committed to providing academic support to Arizona youth through classroom, university, community, and research programs since 1989. Phoenix Community Alliance (PCA)

The alliance is the major private-sector catalyst dedicated to the revitalization of central Phoenix. PCA is coalition of more than 200 business leaders, government, cultural organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders in the central city. The organization is supported a non-profit corporationentirely by the private-sector dues from its corporate members. PCA members are proactive partners in the development of central Phoenix and donate countless hours, resources, financial support and expertise to enhance the quality of life in central Phoenix. Urban Data Center

The Urban Data Center serves as a resource for analysis and implementation of public policy in metropolitan Phoenix and works closely with ASU researchers and organizations such as the Morrison Institute for Public Policy, ASU Libraries, the Joint Urban Design Program, local governments, state agencies and other independent organizations.
