ASU's main campus is located in Tempe [pronounced Tem'pE] Arizona, adjacent
to Phoenix and part of Maricopa County, the nation's fourth most populous
county. Twenty-three communities form Greater Phoenix, also known as the
"Valley of the Sun" or just the "Valley." Polytechnic campus
is located in Arizona's third largest city, Mesa. West campus is located
in west Phoenix, adjacent to Glendale. The ASU Downtown Center is located
in Copper Square.
