Testing Accommodations

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) provides academic testing accommodations for over 300 students a year. A DRC Coordinator or Disability Specialist determines student eligibility and authorizes all accommodations prior to a student receiving services. On the Polytechnic campus, Downtown Phoenix campus and School of Social Work, Tucson Component, testing accommodations are provided directly by the faculty as authorized by the Tempe campus Coordinator or Disability Specialist. Regardless of which campus this student is attending, students are expected to follow the ASU Academic Integrity Policy. The following accommodations may be recommended as appropriate, based on documented need:

  • Scribes
  • Alternative Print Formats (e.g., Braille, Large Print, E-Text, Readers, or taped versions)
  • Extended time
  • Adaptive equipment (e.g., computer, Franklin Speller)
  • Rooms with reduced distraction
