Critical Incident Response Guidelines

Stalking

To get help in the event a student reports an incident of stalking:

1 Public Safety

ASU Police
911 (life-threatening or urgent)
(480) 965-3456 (not life-threatening and not urgent)
24 Hours

Responds to incidents on case-by-case basis.

Coordinates with Student Judicial Affairs if the affected party chooses to file a student conduct complaint and the alleged perpetrator is an ASU student (Note: a student conduct complaint may be filed without filing a police report).

Coordinates with ASU Police to initiate threat assessment and interim action, if appropriate, and adjudicates student conduct complaints if the alleged perpetrator is an ASU student.

Reporting violations and suspected violations of STA Policy 104-2, Handling Disruptive, Threatening, or Violent Individuals on Campus,to ASU Police, the Dean of Students office, and other appropriate offices is MANDATORY.

2 Psychological Support

Counseling & Consultation

After hours and weekends: C&C may be contacted via ASU Police. Call 911 or (480) 965-3456

Provides individual psychological support to affected student(s).

3 University Support

Dean of Students

M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Provides assistance to student(s) regarding: absence letters, attendance/enrollment options, information and referrals to campus and community resources.

(480) 727-HOME (24 Hour Hotline)
M-F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Provides walk-in services and after-hours helpline for information and support to assist affected student(s).

Provides referrals to campus and community resources.
