What is Professional Enhancement Programs? We are a service of ASU designed to prepare students, alumni and members of the community for the next step in their careers. testprep@asuWhat is testprep@asu? testprep@asu offers intensive preparatory courses for the standardized tests required for admission to graduate school. Currently we offer courses for the GMAT, GRE and LSAT. Everybody knows the big off campus testprep companies. Why should I take a class from testprep@asu instead? We’re conveniently located on ASU’s Tempe campus. Our fees are less than half the price of off-campus companies. Our instructors are experienced, highly trained ASU staff and graduate students. Our curriculum and materials are designed with ASU’s needs in mind, not a one-size-fits-all national product. How come you're so cheap? As part of the university, our mission is to provide community service above all. We don’t have to pay out to shareholders. We use university classrooms, so we don’t have to pay rent or mortgages on commercial space, and we can pass the savings on to you. How much will my score improve if I take your classes? Your results depend on you. In addition to class time, our courses include a lot of homework. Practice is critical. If I register for the class, am I registered for the exam? No! We are not affiliated with the companies administering the exams. You must register for the exams directly with the test providers. For the LSAT in particular, register as early as possible, as seats in Phoenix are very limited.
When should I take your classes? Our classes are designed to be taken immediately before your GMAT/GRE/LSAT test date. For undergraduates, you’ll want to take your test the summer before your senior year, or Fall of your senior year at the latest. For non-students, plan on taking your test a year to 18 months prior to the semester you plan on starting graduate school. What should I do to prepare before my class starts? For the GRE and GMAT, if you haven't done high school math in a long time, contact us to pick up our math review textbook early. What are your prices? All prices are subject to change. In keeping with ASU Cashiering Services regulations, we accept personal checks with proper identification, cashier's checks, or money orders made out to ASU. We also accept credit cards (VISA and Master Card only). If you are an ASU student, you can pay by billing your student account. We do not accept cash.
Note: Prices above do not include books and materials. See registration form for complete course fee. |
careertest@asuWhy should I take your workshops? Our career workshops provide unique insights into your personality and the careers and workplace environments that might fit you best. Whether you’re a new student or a mid-career veteran, our workshops provide a valuable toolkit for making your career decisions. Why can’t I just get my test results? Why the workshop? The online psychological instruments we use (the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory) are designed for professional interpretation. Our workshops are led by specially-trained graduate level counselors who can tell you what your results do and don’t mean. I’d like my students to take the Strong or the Myers-Briggs as a class assignment. What should I do? First, contact us for guidelines as to how much class time we'll need for the workshop, and how best to accommodate your class. Once we've developed custom arrangements, we’ll provide you with information for your students on how and when to take the tests. Please contact us *before* informing your students! What do the workshops cost? All prices are subject to change. In keeping with ASU Cashiering Services regulations, we accept personal checks with proper identification, cashier's checks, or money orders made out to ASU. We also accept credit cards (VISA and Master Card only). If you are an ASU student, you can pay by billing your student account. We do not accept cash.
