ASU President Michael Crow introduces Craig J. Venter, who is most widely known as the vanguard scientist responsible for developing high-volume genome sequencing. Crow bestowed Venter with the honorary degree of Doctor of Science, honoris causa, in recognition of his unparalleled commitment to the advancement of the science of genomics and dedicated interest in applying genomic advances toward the solution of critical global health and environmental challenges.
