Ann-Denise Taylor, center, receives a blanket during special ceremonies for students in the Indian Law Program (ILP) at the Sandra Day O'Conner College of Law. The blanket ceremony took root in the 1990s from the efforts of David Montiel as a way of honoring students in the ILP who went the extra mile in their efforts to obtain their degree.
