Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus Provost Mernoy Harrison receives an ovation during the opening celebration, Aug. 15, 2006. Harrison, who has overseen the development of the campus for more than a year, helped preside over the event at the in the University Center at 411 North Central, the hub of ASU's Downtown Phoenix campus.
The new campus extends ASU’s educational mission into Downtown Phoenix and will provide an academic home to more than 4,000 students in the heart of the nation’s fifth-largest city.
