Pat's Run
April 18, 2005

5,578 participants start down Rio Salado Parkway for Pat's Run, a 4.2 mile race in honor of ASU alum and Arizona Cardinal player Pat Tillman. The race was held in Tempe April 16, and completed on the 42- yard line inside Sun Devil Stadium.

Flexible Display Center Opening
February 14, 2005

The Flexible Display Center opened on February 4th and is the result of a $43.7 million cooperative between the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and Arizona State University to develop thin computer displays that can be folded or rolled up.

40th Anniversary of College of Fine Arts
December 9, 2004

At ASU, the year 1964 marked official recognition of the College of Fine Arts. On Oct. 4, the Arizona Board of Regents approved the consolidation of art, music, speech and drama programs under a single college. Forty years later, each of the college’s disciplines enjoys national ranking, and many of its academic programs and specialties are listed in the top 20 by U.S. News & World Report.
