Information

The American College Test measures the knowledge, understanding, and skills that you have acquired throughout your primary and secondary education. It is widely used to determine eligibility for postsecondary educational institutions. ACT bulletins are available for pickup in our office or visit www.act.org for more information.

Cost

The ACT Assessment costs $29.00. The ACT Assessment Plus Writing costs $43.00.

Time

The total appointment time for the ACT Assessment is four hours. The new ACT Writing Test will add another 30 minutes.

Register

Registration deadlines are typically five weeks prior to the test. To register online with a credit card, visit www.act.org. Otherwise, you must obtain the registration bulletin that is available for pickup in our office.

Reschedule

Call ACT at 319-337-1270 no later than the late deadline for the test date you want. When you call, be sure you have your Social Security number, test date, code number for your preferred test center, and your Visa or Mastercard. There is a $20.00 rescheduling fee.

Retake

You must wait 60 days before retaking the exam.

Admission

Walk-in testing is permitted; however there is an additional $39.00 fee and space is not guaranteed. Regular exam entrance requires an admission ticket along with a photo ID.
