In the Classroom
At ASU, we bring the outside world into the classroom by helping students understand real-world challenges. One way students can connect theory and practice is when courses include problem-based curricula. For example, students pursuing law, business, engineering and science work as members of a technology transfer team in the Technology Ventures Clinic. Students gain first-hand knowledge of how to bring ideas to market by actually going through the analysis, and receiving course credit in the process. Another exciting approach to classroom learning is My Life Venture, a course developed by faculty from across the university, with the purpose of helping students understand what entrepreneurship might mean for their lives.

Certificates & Degrees
ASU offers a number of certificate programs to promote and develop entrepreneurial skills. More are in development, including the Certificate in Knowledge Entrepreneurship and Innovation (which starts with My Life Venture) and the Certificate in Entrepreneurial Ventures, both of which will be open to students from any major.

Innovation Space
InnovationSpace, a collaboration among the College of Design, the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and the W. P. Carey School of Business, is an interdisciplinary product development course that emphasizes social and environmental responsibility. The goal of our transdisciplinary education and research lab is to teach students how to develop products that create market value while serving real societal needs and minimizing impacts on the environment. Put simply, we seek to create products that are progressive, possible and profitable. At the same time, they must have a meaningful impact on the daily lives of ordinary people.

Technology Ventures Services Group
Technology Ventures Services Group is a teaching laboratory where students from several disciplines, including law, business, engineering and science have been recruited as members of a technology transfer team, participating in patent investigation, business modeling, deal structuring and market assessment and research.

Arts, Media and Engineering
Arts, Media and Engineering is a graduate program to prepare experiential media specialists across the arts, sciences and engineering. Graduate students produce experiential media systems and models that evolve human ability, facilitate learning, enhance scientific discovery, empower creativity, assist the disadvantaged and improve quality of life.
