UCW Elections

University Career Women holds annual board member elections each May/June.

Elections for the 2011-2012 Board will take place June 13-17, 2011.

TO NOMINATE SOMEONE(or SELF):

1. Contact the person you are nominating to verify that she will accept (IMPORTANT).
2. Ask your nominee to complete and submit the Candidate Information Form
   (NOTE: Candidate Information Forms will be shared with the membership.)

NOMINATIONS AND CANDIDATE INFORMATION FORMS ARE DUE BY Friday, June 3, 2011.

VOTE ONLINE BY June 17, 2011.

Board Position Openings

President-Elect
(the term of office shall be two (2) years commencing on the July 1st and terminating on the June 30th)

• Works with the President and Board on bylaw updates/revisions
• Serves in the capacity of president whenever the president is unable to serve
• Leads membership development and benefits
• Leads and runs the elections process
• Monitors and serves as mentor to activity and event coordinators
• Becomes President for second year of term

Communications Coordinator
(the term of office shall be two (2) years commencing on the July 1st and terminating on the June 30th)

• Assembles and leads web development group
• Updates or oversees updates of organization’s web site
• Updates member distribution list and board distribution list
• Sends electronic communications, announcements, meeting notices, etc. to appropriate groups

Recorder
(the term of office shall be one (1) years commencing on July 1st and terminating on the June 30th)

• Records board meeting minutes
• Works closely with the President
