University Center Building

University Center Building, the center of campus life, opened in spring 1991.

This three-story facility houses admissions and records, an array of student-assistance programs, health services, a preschool and student activities.

Also found in UCB are food service, cashier and fee-payment services, student lounges (including billiards), an art gallery, a black-box theater, meeting rooms, and a divisible, multi-purpose auditorium/ballroom facility (called La Sala).

The 7,000 sq. ft. fitness center (called The Diablo Performance and Recreation Center) is equipped with Precor cardio equipment, a full-body machine circuit, free weights, an aerobics/multi-use room, as well as shower and locker facilities.

Visitors, students and staff dine in the cafeteria (called Café West) on freshly prepared entrees, sandwiches, salads, pizza, snacks, desserts – even breakfast selections.

Shop in the bookstore at the northeast corner of UCB for ASU souvenirs and other gear, in addition to textbooks and study supplies.
