The Global Institute of Sustainability Building accomodates ASU's Global Institute of Sustainability and School of Sustainability. Sustainability initiatives have been incorporated in the design and development of this project, including:
- wind turbines powered by thermal updrafts
- skylights and energy-efficient light fixtures
- high recycled content in carpet and furniture
The building was dedicated in 1966 as the Nursing Building and until 2006 was the home of the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation, now located at the Downtown Phoenix campus.
