Altitude Chamber
The Altitude Chamber is a fully operational facility that offers training focused on recognizing the signs of hypoxia, or oxygen deprivation, that can occur at high altitude. ASU is one of three universities in the nation to offer such training. The chamber can accommodate up to 16 students at a time, simulating environments up to 43,000 feet. The Altitude Chamber is available for use by aviation companies, commercial, corporate and government aircrew for training purposes, as well as human subject research and product development and testing.
