JOHANNESBURG
Johannesburg is the most powerful commercial centre on the African continent. It is also the cultural centre of South Africa. It has a vibrant night life and a fascinating collection of museums documenting the history of the country and the recent apartheid past. These include the Hector Pieterson Museum in Soweto, the Apartheid Museum, Constitutional Hill, and the Origins of Mankind Museum at the University of Witwatersrand. |
